Rushing yards count yards gained on official rushing attempts. This table ranks college football players for the selected season and displays the applicable minimum qualifier where one is used.

Jahiem White of North Texas tops the 2026 college football rush yards ranking at 1,043, through games played October 29, 2026. Next are Dylan Riley of Boise State second at 963, DeSean Bishop of Tennessee third at 957, Cam Cook of West Virginia fourth at 923 and James Jones of New Mexico State & Torrance Burgess Jr. of Texas State tied for fifth at 889. White's total puts him 80 yards clear of second place & 397 ahead of the 25th-ranked player.

Jackson Gutierrez of Navy is the highest-ranked quarterback on the board at 872 yards, eighth overall. Next are Nate Sheppard of Duke seventh at 875, Jamal Roberts of Missouri ninth at 867 & Messiah Burch of Buffalo tenth at 845.

Sixty-one yards separate 14th from 15th, the widest single step anywhere below the top four.
