What Is Left-Aligned Target Rate Allowed?
Left-aligned target rate allowed is the percentage of routes a defender covered on the OFFENSE's left -- the defense's right side of the field -- that ended with a pass thrown his way. Dividing by routes defended from that side rather than by snaps turns volume into a trust signal: it answers whether quarterbacks attack that side of the field against this defender specifically, independent of how much time he spends there. The defenders at the bottom of this board are the ones offenses decide not to test on that side, a compliment that never shows up in yards or touchdowns allowed. It uses the same definition as Target Rate on Cornerback+ and as Left-Aligned Target Rate on the receiver boards, so all three read against each other directly.
