What Are Left-Aligned Receptions Allowed?
Left-aligned receptions allowed counts the catches surrendered by a defender when the receiver he was covering lined up on the OFFENSE's left -- the defense's right side of the field. The gap between a defender's left-aligned targets allowed and left-aligned receptions allowed is a read on whether he is actually contesting throws to that side or merely present for them. Compare it to his right-side number to see whether a defender is genuinely better on one side of the field than the other.
