What Is RB Rush Share?
RB Rush Share measures the percentage of a team's running-back-position carries that go to this player -- distinct from two other share stats on the site. Rush Share divides by every carry the TEAM has at any position (RB, QB scrambles/sneaks, WR jet sweeps, and so on), so it can understate a bell-cow back's true lead over the other backs on his roster when the offense also leans on designed QB runs. RB Rush Share instead divides only by carries from players listed at running back, isolating how a team splits its backfield touches among its own RB room. Touch Share and RB Opportunity Share measure something different again -- they combine carries with targets (total touches/opportunities), not carries alone. Use RB Rush Share to settle who is winning the committee at running back, Rush Share to see how heavily an offense leans on its RBs as a group versus other positions, and Touch Share/Opportunity Share to weigh receiving work alongside rushing work.
