What Is Slot FP/Route?
Slot FP/Route is the half-PPR fantasy points a receiver scored from slot alignments divided by the slot routes he ran. Fantasy points per route run is the standard way to compare receivers whose playing time differs, and splitting it by alignment shows where a player's production actually comes from: two receivers with identical season totals can look nothing alike once you see that one earns his points inside against a nickel and the other earns his on the boundary. Scoring is 0.5 points per reception, 0.1 per receiving yard, and 6 per touchdown. Points scored from backfield or in-line alignments appear on neither this board nor the perimeter one.
