What Is Perimeter FP/Route?
Perimeter FP/Route is the half-PPR fantasy points a receiver scored from outside alignments divided by the perimeter routes he ran. Boundary work produces fewer catches but longer ones, so a receiver's perimeter figure is usually built on yardage and touchdowns rather than reception volume -- which makes this the board to read when deciding whether a big-play profile is real or the product of one long score. Scoring is 0.5 points per reception, 0.1 per receiving yard, and 6 per touchdown. Production from backfield or in-line alignments is excluded here and from the slot board alike.
