What Is Slot FP/Route Allowed?
Slot FP/Route allowed is the half-PPR fantasy points surrendered by a defender divided by the slot routes he covered. This is the matchup number at the individual level: it folds volume, catch rate, yardage and touchdowns into one figure and controls for workload, which is what makes it usable for deciding whether a slot-heavy receiver has a good matchup this week rather than merely describing a season after the fact. Scoring is 0.5 points per reception, 0.1 per receiving yard, and 6 per touchdown.
