What Is Left-Aligned FP/Route?
Left-Aligned FP/Route is the half-PPR fantasy points a receiver scored from left-side alignments divided by the left-side routes he ran. It folds volume, catch rate, yardage and touchdowns into one number and controls for how much of his work actually came from that side, which is what makes it useful for spotting a real side preference rather than assuming symmetry. Scoring is 0.5 points per reception, 0.1 per receiving yard, and 6 per touchdown. Left and right are derived from the charted formation order, resolve on about 98% of WR/slot routes, and are computed independently of Slot & Perimeter+ -- production from left, right, slot and perimeter does not combine into a receiver's full total.
