What Are Team Left-Aligned WR Targets?
Team left-aligned WR targets count how many passes an offense threw to wide receivers lined up on its own left side of the field, as the quarterback sees it looking downfield. Offenses lean toward a side for real reasons -- a receiver's alignment habits, a favorable weekly matchup, or simply where the better blocker lines up on run-pass options -- so a heavy left-side share is a genuine tendency, not noise. It is a volume number, so read it beside Team Left-Aligned Target Rate, which controls for how many left-side routes the offense actually ran. Left and right are derived from the charted formation order and are independent of the Slot & Perimeter Offense+ split; neither axis, nor both together, accounts for a team's entire passing game.
