What Is Slot WR Target Rate Allowed?
Slot WR target rate allowed is the percentage of slot routes run against a defense that ended with a pass thrown. Dividing by routes defended rather than by pass attempts is what turns a volume number into a signal: it answers whether quarterbacks choose the slot when it is available, independent of how often the defense was throwing-down in the first place. A high rate is an invitation being accepted. It uses the same definition as Target Rate on the Cornerback+ pages and as Slot Target Rate on the receiver side, so all three can be read against each other directly.
